New attraction closing!

I'm not one to ever disparage anything Disney...even if it may not be my personal favorite thing.

But in my humble, for whatever it's worth, opinion...

That show was a horrible disaster that was far far far below Disney's level. ; Good riddance!

Now what to do with the stage they built.
 
i did not have the chance to see stitch's show but it is unfortunate that it had such a short shelf life, especially given how much money them spent demo'ing the galaxy palace theater stage then rebuilding the new stage.
 
Wow. ; That lasted less than Light Magic. ; That one made it 4 months but I bet it cost wayyyy more.
 
I never saw it but based on the reviews I read I had no intention of going to see it this summer. ; Very interested in what they will do with it.
 
I was (un)lucky enough to catch it when I was there a few weeks ago. ; It was something that you would expect to see at a cheesy local state theme park...it was maybe up to the caliber of a Knott's Berry Farm production. ; You actually felt bad for the performers...you had the feeling THEY knew how bad it was. ; And when I was there, the audience had already dwindled down to what Spinal Tap was playing to at the amusement park when they were experimenting in Derek's free-form jazz.
 
Yep...that's the one! ; (though he does make a brief appearance at the end as Elvis Stitch). ; Cringeworthy.
 
If they really want the Stitch character to catch on in popularity at the parks or in shows...they need to make him smaller! ; He just doesn't seem to work as well as a full man-size bighead character. ; Get to work on the robotics, or hire some smaller folks, and make him more to the scale he was in the movie. ; Then he'll be cute and fun again.

Just my opinion!
 
Great idea Justin! Maybe they could use the Lucky the Dinosaur technology. Have a cast member bring out a cage then let Stitch come out and run around and interact with the guests!

This was still under construction when I was there in January. Based on all the reviews I am hearing, I am glad I didn't have to waste my time seeing this. Also, I totally agree with Justin's assessment of making Stitch work in the parks.
 
I saw this show on our recent trip and glad I'm glad to see it close. ; It was a disaster. ; I liken this to a Broadway show that should never have gotten to previews.

There was a time when Knott's Berry Farm had fantastic shows. About the only good show they do today is the hanging at Halloween Haunt and it's not what it used to be.

Cedar Fair killed Knott's Berry Farm. The funny thing is the Knott family was worried Disney would make to many changes when Disney was in talks with the Knott Family to purchase Knott's Berry Farm. So they sell to Cedar Fair and they made drastic changes and killed it.
 
I don't remember much unfortunately about my earliest trips to Knott's, which was back in 74-76...I was just a kid. ; I seemed to remember liking the place though. ; When I moved to California in 1990, I went back and visited, and though some of the design of the place was still quaint and fun, the shows were definitely not the stuff of legends. ; I went twice within the 4 years I was there, and ended up mostly writing the place off. ; Disneyland was of course my primary destination, though I did have an annual pass for Universal Studios since I lived so close. ; And occasionally, we'd jog up to Magic Mountain - my friends mostly for the crazy loopy action rides, and me just for an homage to Vacation.
