PIXELMANIA 2015 Dates & Roll-Call

Pixelmania 2015 will be the traditional first weekend in December, which next year is December 3-6, 2015.

Here is the tentative park of the day lineup for this year: (SUBJECT TO CHANGE!)

  • Wednesday - Pre-meet dinner (location pending), followed by Yehaa Bob (Port Orleans River Roost)
  • Thursday - Universal all day (probably 9 am - 7 pm). Potter....Potter!...POTTER!!
  • Friday - MK, start "noonish", MVMCP party night
  • Saturday - EPCOT starting at 11:00am, Candlelight Processional
  • Sunday - AK morning, DHS afternoon

I'm in!

As a reminder to my fellow Pixelmaniacs who Southwest, the booking window for Pixelmania opens on or about May 15th
 
i am there, i'll be there from tuesday to tuesday, anyone interested in what is becoming the post pixel mania of dinner at yachtsman steakhouse sound off as either mike or myself will be making a res
dinner most likely around 6pm to allow for post dinner illuminations shoot
 
June 4th is the 180 day mark for dining for arrivals on 12/1/15

Are there any thoughts on where we'd like the kick off dinner on Wednesday to occur? If we are still trying to stay local to the Swalphin area I'd vote for Blue Zoo at the Dolphin. http://allears.net/dining/menu/todd-english-bluezoo/dinner

There is also the Yachtsman Steak house at the Yacht Club resort (next to the Swaphin) http://allears.net/dining/menu/yachtsman-steakhouse/dinner

well talk last mania was to put whispering canyon cafe up for consideration, i like that as i've already decided to go shoot the campground after dinner, something i have not done in about 4 years, and its probably been 8 since i last was in whispering canyon, but its time to start a group input on this anyway

although if we are going fine dining i'd def be up for citricos, it's also been about 5 years since i ate there regularly, but i always had good meals there
 
We can discuss the Wednesday dinner location when we start working out the meet schedule, but my vote is for Whispering Canyon. Should be a lot of fun with this group.

I already have the ADR reminder in my calendar so I don't forget to make the Yachtsman reservation. I'll make the reservation for the same time relative to Illuminations as that worked out well.

I forgot about Whispering Canyon. That and the camp ground shoot sounds like an awesome plan!

Wow we got off track a bit here but Whispering Canyon is cool me with also. Let's move all this over to the Planning Board and kick the ideas around there. What about ICE?
 
I'm in for Pixelmania. I'm still planning my May 2015 trip, so ADRs in December are waaaay down on the priority list.

Oops! I thought I was posting this on the planning board. Sorry about that. That darn planning board link fooled me AGAIN!
I'm going to have to find a service dog and teach it how to use the computer until I get my new bifocals.

Hey what about the Ice show ???
 
As usual, I'm scroo'ed on getting my home resort. Tried to book about a week after the window opened for home resort, and it was ALREADY unavailable...I can only get partials - one day here, two days missing, one more day. All gone already. So I now have to wait until May before I can see what's left at the other resorts - and pretty much take anything I can get. But I intend to be there, as long as something's open to stay in!
 
Another good reason to make the dinner ADR earlier: by the time everyone gets there and gets organized, it will be an hour later before we're inside eating. ;)

And Whispering Canyon sounds good for me too.
