Thanks guys!

Tim, that eye shot is awesome! ; I've seen reflections like that done with a pair of sunglasses, but never with an eye. ; Nice work!

Everyone was killing it at this shoot! ; Nice work. ; Tim showed me that eye shot when he took it - very cool to get that kind of closeup detail in an eye.

Here are a few of my experimental selections...I was playing around with panning, and some burst sequencing just for fun. ; All shots posted regulation size, with links to the 1024x pixel version beneath each.

Some slower shutter panning of the hero car:

Panning the jump:

This was a 10-frame burst (at 7 fps) with the camera fixed on the rail...the 10 frames were layered and blended at 40% to show the trail of the car through the jump sequence:

I thought this was pretty funny, how close we got to the same shot...first, Erich's shot:

Now, mine:

This is why I love seeing shots where we're all at the same event. We're sitting next to each other, but we come away with such different perspectives! Well, except for the burning man, where the shutters were moving almost in sync.

Erich

erich, i noticed the same thing that you just mentioned. ; it's funny, we are all competitive for that GREAT shot, yet we are all supportive of each other as well. ; that's what makes this community so great.

Nice work Justin! ; I really like that 10 frame combination shot. ;

Nicely said, Erich and Tim. ; The friendly competition allows each of us to become better photographers. ;

and just like the "Where Am I" In-Park contests, it helps me see things from a different perspective. ; Out of everyone that participated I bet that everyone came up with a slightly different perspective on each one. ; One item...15 different photos.

Nice! ; Looks like your moment on the car jumping through is quite close to mine...just clearing the barrels and 3/4 through the flames. ; I bursted but that one came out best for me.

i think we all have some variant of that moment in the show, the one i don't have, because i wasn't ready, because i don't know the show well enough, is the hero on the motorcycle blowing out through the window

When I see the photo of the motorcycle coming out of the window all I keep hearing is the lady behind us saying "Oh no, those window panes aren't supposed to be out that far. ; Someone is going to have to go get them." (over and over again... apparently her son was one of the stunt drivers)

That's funny, I saw the show again the next day, and right before the final jump through the fire, the good guy car, ran out of gas or something because it had to be pushed off set by one of the bad guy cars. ; It's funny to see glitches to occur in these shows that we all think are perfect every time, even though we may know differently.
