Planing a Drive out to Cali this fall

Yes I did say Drive :)

Hi everyone I havent been on in a while but the Disney bug has hit again. this time Disneyland :P

Our plan is to take 3 weeks vacation. we plan to drive down to San Fransisco then down to Universal then Disneyland of course then up to vegas then back home.

Looking for any information or tips to save and or sights to see (disney or otherwise)

Anything I should know?
 
thanks for the replies, Yes a GPS is something we looked into and finally purchased one last week. I Loved your trip report, lots of good info. although our drive down will be a lot longer than 23 hours :P

I'll look into the disney museam, great idea and yes Alcatraz for sure. thanks for the ideas
 
Me and Tim wanted to do a pre and post Disneyland trip if we can record sometime

Plus it would be nice to do something about club 33 just don't have a recording device
 
Road Trip is creeping on us pretty fast...leaving Ottawa Oct 5th. Cant wait.

First San Fransisco...tickets to Alcatraz already bought
then LA for Universal Studios and Hollywood
then Disneyland (the part I most excited about)
then Vegas
Then Chicago on the way home for the Supernatural Convention
then Home.

Three nice Long weeks, :)
