POTD - random

Thanks, John and Jeff! ; I had to get down on my stomach to get this one as these falls are about 18 inches tall compared to the big falls at 215 feet.

I like the falls, Scott - nice angle that gives it depth. ; And was the ice heart a found object? ; If so, pretty cool!

I had a very brief window of sunshine this weekend in between rainstorms, just enough while coming home from the beach to stop by the Gumbo Limbo butterfly garden right across the street from the beach parking lot - decided to grab some closeups with my NEX-5N and 55-210mm lens:

Great shots Justin! ; Love the last one with the spider!

Nice one Dave, love the framing with the flowering trees on either side.

VERY nice Scot! ; I like the framing and of course the silky water. ; How did you accomplish the frame?

Here is my little friend from my mailbox today.

Ok, now I need some help. ; I like both of these, BUT there is something about each of them that I really like and something I really don't like, BUT I can't figure it out. ; Can someone maybe throw some ideas out there as to what it might be. ; I just can't put my finger on it.

Thanks for the help guys.

I think he is trying to drive us insane. ; I flipped back and forth between the two checking for any slight variation in shadows... And placement, etc...... ; I must be blind.

I used David duChemin's ebook, A Deeper Frame, in creating this photo and others on my blog today. Click the photo to read more.

Deep Photos by Scottwdw

Anyone think like I do that stone stacking near waterfalls is done by aliens? ; Maybe earthly Jedi's are being trained here.

Very nice shots Jeff and Scott. ; Scott, been keepin up with your blog of late, excellent work. ; And that is no Jedi because I do not see R2-D2 in the frame (unless you cropped him out to make this more realistic)

Thanks, Tim! ; I had the whole place to myself. ; Amazing how peaceful that is when photographing. ; It lets you get in a zone.

Yep, and the nearby X-Wing, too, John.

Scott, your latest photos have indeed ; been beautiful.

Yes, I goofed and posted the same image twice, I have since corrected it, and if anyone would care to scroll back up and look and try this creative process again for me, I would appreciate it. ; ;D

I cleaned out a drawer and found my first digital camera. It held 20 shots! What a piece of junk. I thought it was so cool! :)
