To be honest Disney did not give people any time to plan. It was a matter of hours before the event was announced, registration opened and it booked up.

Did you wind up getting an Annual Pass?

Also keep trying, the site is glitchy so you never know...

I got screwed. They need to have enough capacity for people who don't get emails instantly.
 
that's ok, i am not in as of right now, seems michael is getting more perks than i am out of my dvc and pass. it seems my pass renewal sort of languished in disney it purgatory, i'll tell the tale at pixel mania. but it is ok, the world's largest single site employer, with thousands of guests, no problem subbing out all the it work in package units to the lowest bidder, what could possibly go wrong??

Same thing happened to me with the DVC Moonlight madness at Epcot in August. I never got the email and then the event “sold out“ in less than two hours. I called them to state my case but they clearly didn’t give a rip. They said they are charged per person by the venue. When I reminded them that they “are“ the venue, all I heard was crickets.
 
Though realistically, wouldn’t the same rules apply to taking your time exiting the park? I mean sure, you’re not going to be able to go on a ride or get food but if you are there only to take photos at night, are they going to force you out immediately? It is only two hours... and at that, is illuminations at 9pm meaning people are effectively in the park until at least 9:30?

My understanding is that it’s just open an extra two hours... nothing more. So NOT like the DVC event where you had free food and special characters. But maybe I’m misinterpreting it.

I AM IN, came home from work, sat down and called it help desk for pass holders, because i had not received the promised phone call about fixing this for me, well there still is some pixie dust in the world, while i was explaining this to the cm, i opened my email and there was a 2 hour old email confirming my registration for epcot 10/25/18, so now maybe we can get dennis transferred to be john. of course if he had secret desires to be karen i could easily make that happen, happens to me all the time with my pass, at least once a trip so far since magic bands started
