LOL They hammed it up for me. I don't think I'd attempt this on any other fast moving ride. I felt safe sitting sideways on Big Thunder. Shooting backwards and not seeing where I was going was interesting but I've ridden it enough to know when to turn back around.
I'm learning, Tim! Pretty much have the camera doing all the work and using the exposure compensation button to dial it in. During this trip, the mornings were clear with blue skies with clouds coming by midday. I got so I could tell when I'd blow out the clouds and would compensate. -3 seemed to be the magic number whenever sky with clouds were involved so I set it that way before getting on BTM. I, also, learned to zoom in when there was too much contrast.
