Rumor : Epcot wand

I have heard from a good source that Disney is planning on taking down the Epcot wand. From what I have been told it's costing the company too much money to keep it up.

Now I can understand why they are taking it down, after all Disney is a business that wants to make money. However I will miss that wand when it's time to come down!
 
Maybe they could be convinced to auction it off on eBay. ; Hmmm... maybe it go be attached to Skydome (Rogers) in Toronto!!!!
 
Wow I can't imagine what it would look like without the wand. ; The three times that I have been there, it has been there. ; I remember seeing it for the first time and seeing it just sparkle like nothing I have seen before. ; I will miss it if that is true.

The wand is really relatively new... the park opened in '82, but the wand was only added in 2000 and was only supposed to be there for a year.
