took a break from Forsythe and walked around Smithville today trying out the 300 f4 some more.

You sure took to this lens, Howie. ; The first one really shows off the virtues of the lens in the hands of a master.
 
thanks Jeff and Scott. yea I am lovin this lens Scott but I don't know about the master part ; LOL. Just got the kenko 1.4 converter to make it 630mm at f 5.6
 
Let me know how the Kenko works for you. ; It's supposed to work with the 80-400VR. ; Just want to know how the combo focuses for you.

these were shot in heavy fog with the D7000 and the Kenko 1.4 focusing was not a problem. I will have to try the 1.7 next

well the morning fog is back again. Same again the D7000 with nikon 300f4 and keno 1.4

gull kept eyeballing the fish. thought for sure it was going to make a grab for it
