Some Forsythe Shots from Yesterday

I got off my tail yesterday and drove down to Forsythe. ; It was a little cold but for the first time the light was pretty good (I usually bring the bad weather, just ask Howie!). ; The first set is using a 55-300mm lens. ; The second group I met up with Howie and he let me use a 1.4x teleconverter. ; It really made the difference in getting more reach. ; Here are the better shots, I did not get anything that great. ;

I did a lot of getting out of the car and trying to "spook" the birds to get some in flight shots.

Great stuff John! ; Forsythe is such a great place. ; I just wish I had gotten in there to take photos before I moved. ; I may have found an equally great spot about 45 minutes north of where I live. ; I hope to head out there and check it out sometime soon.

Thanks Howie, it helps having someone to help out, like with the reminder to turn the car off! ; ;)

Wait, the teleconverter worked with the 55-300? ; I didn't think they did on the consumer lenses. ; Nice set of shots, John, regardless of the weather. ; I should be going down in February when the owls show up, I'll give you a heads up when I know which weekend.
