Thanks Amanda. FYI - It was one of my very few times staying in a non-Disney property...But I must say it had its advantages - the view was spectacular! This was at the Wyndam Buena Vista tower, 16th floor I believe, with a balcony overlooking Downtown Disney and Marketplace. I took probably 30 shots up there that night, as the sunset was spectacular (the weather was a nice, cool 40s that night...so clear skies). And I just walked across the street to the Marketplace bus stop to use Disney transportation to get around. I'd do it again if I needed a place and Disney was booked or I couldn't get my DVC.

I've stayed both on and off property. Both have their advantages. We usually stay with my MIL that owns an off property time share in Orlando. She is very nice to share :D.
