The Florida Aquarium

That pink bird - saw some of those at NASA and our guide said theyre nearly extinct. If you ask me theyre kind of dumb. I saw one with a gator literally a foot behind it and it just stood there! ; They made me laugh though.

I love that it looks like the stingray is smiling.

the pink bird is a roseate spoonbill, ajaia ajaja, a coastal bird, with a range pretty deep into south america, once hunted in the 1800's almost to extinction for plumage for ladies hats. down to a few dozen nesting pairs by the 1940's, made a federally protected species, recovered enough today to no longer be on the protected list
quite often mistaken for the very rare indeed greater flamingo

oh, and i really dig the spiny lobster shot
 
Jeff, after reading about your upcoming trip to N.O., I felt it worthy to mention that they have a World Class Aquarium at the base of Canal Street on the river. You might want to check that out. It is the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas which also houses an IMAX Theatre.
