thanks John and yea I know it is sappy but that damn song wouldn't leave my head all day

I took them with the tamron 70-300. they get real close when they get in there feeding frenzy
 
You know how much I like the second one but the third one with the sharp focus on the beak is not bad either.
 
#2 is the definite winner - great focus on the head in that one. ; Very nice. ; The royal and least are just reTERNing to our area the past few weeks - they've mostly been gone or very sporadic for the past 4 months - just a rare few forster's terns hung around this winter.
 
thanks Justin. they just came back here about a week ago. now looking forward to the skimmers which I believe show up next month and of course all the chicks from the different breeds that start showing up next month
