transmitting images

I just returned from Disney and noticed the photographers at the parks used a PDA looking device with a barcode reader hooked to their cameras. ; Does anyone know if this was storage or was it wirelessly transmitting images?
 
it transmits them wirelessly to their server so you can get them at the photopass stands.
 
can't help you there... ; if this is something you are interested in, you might want to consider the eye-fi cards.
