Actually I wasn't trying to do that. Later on my trip, yes, but I think this was the IS working in an odd fashion.

Imagine what a 1.2/1.4L lens with IS could do.

Very strange. I'm having trouble remembering exactly where on GMR this scene was. It looks to me like there were some strobe lights on the scenery, and that's what your camera was capturing.
