Hey you Alberta folk did you know Walt was the Grand Marshal in the 1965 Calgary Stampede parade?

Now that fact I didn't know, however not being from Calgary, I wouldn't have known that. ; That would have been pretty cool. This year Rick Hanson is the grand marshal. ; And of course the Duke and Dutchess are coming to do a few Stampede things this year. ; I am definitely staying away from the area that day.

I am sure you all know Walt's father was Canadian.
Walt made several trips to Calgary, the first two in conjunction with vacations at Banff—August 1958 and September 1964, and the third for the Calgary Stampede in July 1965; he was only there two nights, so didn’t go to Banff that trip.
I have nothing against Calgary, I love the city but if I was Walt I would have gone to Disneyland, he,he.
