Staying at the historic Phoenix Park Hotel which is within walking distance of the Capitol building.

I was on the other side before sunrise. ; Very windy as you can see by the flag so the photo I had planned was scraped. ; Waited for the Sun to come up to catch the golden hour on the building. ; Cranked the camera's Vivid setting to enhance it.
 
Looks like a great trip! It's been quite a few years since I was at the Smithsonian Annex, I'd love to see it again.
Psst, that F-15 is actually an F-14 Tomcat, but I won't tell anyone. :D

I highly recommend taking a Ranger tour of some of the monuments and memorials. ; Learn all kinds of neat stuff like the statue of Abraham Lincoln's show size would be a 42.

I would wait a bit, Michael. ; They are bringing in the Space Shuttle Discovery to replace the Enterprise. ; The date mentioned was April 19th. ; It will be a zoo around there during that time. ; About a third of the space hanger exhibits are not out right now as Enterprise has already been fitted with it's aerotail for transport.
