yes very, I actually found out what it is, its an earthstar one of the many varities.

lol yes it does, the first time I saw one it looked like a plastic flower then I poked it with my clippers and the center exploded with spores.

It's very strange... I have also never seen one until now and I had a hard time finding it on the Internet... but they say they are common...
