Thought I wold start a thread where I can post my photos from my trip to the western United Sates. ; Starting with San Diego. ; I wanted to catch a beautiful California sunset. ; However, the clouds had other ideas. ; I settled for this Blue Hour of the Ocean Beach Fishermen's Pier.

Concerning the Zoo shots: These are great shots, worthy of the senior portrait category in the Zoo yearbook. I definitely wouldn't just pass off a disk to them. These are so good I'd make them buy a portrait package!

What is the little icon displaying in the lower right corner?

Stopping off in Vegas for a couple of nights...

As for the Tapatalk logo on my photos, I had to sign up via the app before it would let me upload photos. ; It would not accept my Twitter sign on (probably because I have two active accounts on the phone, I have that issue with other apps). I guess I agreed to them putting the logo on there somewhere in the fine print. ; Whatever!

Off to the Arizona tomorrow!

Here's an iPhone pano from the South Kaibab Trail about 500 feet down into the Grand Canyon. ; Had beautiful clouds yesterday which made up for the gusty winds up to 50 mph.

Nice ongoing series so far...glad to catch up on it as I missed it when you started. ; Love the Grand Canyon layers sun shot - I miss the west for sure.

Your shot of Ornament Valley definitely shows why that place would be MUCH more impressive and interesting here in Florida, where there aren't real landscapes like that a quick day's drive away!

After breakfast this morning, Merrie and I strolled along the Rim Trail enjoying our last views of the Grand Canyon before checking out. We highly recommend the Bright Angel Cabins if you ever plan on visiting the park. Wish we had a couple of more days here to explore. Guess we will have to come back. :-)

Yep, snow in the mountains. Got some great shots of the weather behind rock formations.

The cabin we are staying at has no Internet. Lots of places have it in town but, for now, only expect iPhone updates until I get to Denver next week.
