The second annual Wine and Dine Half Marathon was held October 1, 2011 at Walt Disney World in Florida. The route took us from ESPN Wide World of Sports to Disney's Animal Kingdom, through Hollywood Studios and finally around the Boardwalk area and to the finish line at the entrance to EPCOT.

This is my bib and medal from the event.

Thank you, John. It was my first half marathon. It went much better than I had expected. I twisted my ankle about two weeks before the race and didn't run until the night of the race.
 
Great to hear! ; The most important thong with the first one is crossing the finish line!!!

How was the "after party" in World Showcase?

I'd hate to be the runner up in that race... can you imagine the view for the entire race? (and dont start imagining it now... Stop... Dont think about it...) ;

As for the thong comments, I didn't specifically see any, but I would think that 13.1 miles in a thong would saw a person in half. OUCH!
